Alex Fundyk

Alex Fundyk, 74, of Logansport, died Monday February 20, 2012 at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Born July 8, 1937 in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of the late Steven and Eva (Ferus) Fundyk.
Alex was a 1956 graduate of New Waverly High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He retired in 1990 from Exide after 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and his granddaughter, Lauren.
Survivors include son, Brian A. Fundyk and wife Brenda of Avon, daughter, Christina D. Fundyk of Indianapolis, brother, Steve Fundyk of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and one granddaughter Lauren Fundyk, of Avon.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Peter P. Fundyk.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Marocco ' Rans Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday February 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
Burial with military rites will be conducted at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
