Alice Jean Odenthal, 96, of Kokomo formerly of Royal Center passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Northwood Village Healthcare Center in Kokomo.
Born on January 22, 1918 in Royal Center, she was the daughter of the late Mearle and Anna (Friday) Lidgard. On June 11, 1939 she married Warren E. Odenthal. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1997.
She attended the Indiana School for the Deaf.
Alice was a retired Inspector from the Rice Corporation in Winamac. She was a member of Morning Star Church of the Brethren and also the Kokomo Deaf Club. Alice was a dear and loving woman, wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and friend. She was an animal lover, cats especially, loved to travel, decorate and lots of other things.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Gunn and husband Richard of Kokomo, Indiana, grandchildren, Mark Gunn (Ayrika), of Carmel, Indiana, Karla Gunn (Matt Klam) of Milton, Wisconsin, and Adom Odenthal of South Carolina and great grandchildren, Bryant Gunn, AJ Gunn and Elan Klam.
She was also preceded in son, Larry Odenthal, daughter, Linda Odenthal, son, Wayne Odenthal, sisters, Thelma and Eleanor and grandson, Jarvis Gunn.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Pastor Greg Reed will officiate.
Burial will follow at Star City West Cemetery.
