Aman Castillo Rixtun, 60 años de Logansport falleció tranquilamente el Lunes, 15 de Enero del 2024 en su casa rodeado de su familia. 

Nacido el 16 de Noviembre de 1963 en Jocotillo Oratorio, Santa Rosa, Guatemala, era hijo del fallecido Fidel Castillo y Demetria Rixtun. 

Aman trabajó anteriormente en Myers Spring en Logansport.

Era miembro de la parroquia de la Iglesia Católica de Todos Los Santos.  Aman fue un talentoso atleta de correr y ciclismo en su juventud. Le encantaba cocinar para su familia. Sus nietos eran su orgullo y alegría y pasaría todo el tiempo que pudiera con ellos. Tenía muchas pasiones pero la más grande de todas era predicar la Palabra del Señor. A pesar de su enfermedad nunca perdió su sentido del humor y su amor y fé en Dios. Realmente lo extrañaremos pero nunca lo olvidaremos. 

Le sobreviven su esposa, Sonia M. Barrientos de Logansport, sus hijos, Lucy Ponce, Carlos Castillo, Aman Castillo, Jr. y Hayley Castillo, sus nietos Mia, Jonny y Maite. También le sobreviven su sobrina, Sherlyn Castillo y sobrino, Jose Castillo, a quien crió como si fuera suyos. Proveniente de una familia numerosa, tenía muchos cuñados, sobrinas y sobrinos junto con otros 12 hermanos. 

Una misa fúnebre cristiano será a la 1:00 p.m., Viernes, 19 de Enero de 2024 en La Parroquia de Todos los Santos con el padre Michael Block oficiando.

El velorio será de 3:00 p.m. a 7:00 pm, Jueves, 18 de Enero de 2024 en La Funeraria y Crematorio de Rans, Capilla de Morocco.

El entierro será en el cementerio Mt.Hope.

Aman Castillo Rixtun, 60 of Logansport passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

Born on November 16, 1963 in Jocotillo Oratorio, Santa Rosa, Guatemala, he was the son of the late Fidel Castillo and Demetria Rixtun.

Aman formerly worked at Myers Spring in Logansport.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.  Aman was a talented running  and cycling athlete in his younger years. He loved cooking for his family.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he would spend as much time as he could with them. He had many passions but the biggest one of all was preaching the Word of the Lord. Despite his illness he never lost his sense of humor and his love and faith in God. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Survivors include his wife, Sonia M. Barrientos of Logansport, children, Lucy Ponce, Carlos Castillo, Aman Castillo, Jr. and Hayley Castillo, grandchildren Mia, Jonny and Maite.  He is also survived by niece, Sherlyn Castillo and nephew, Jose Castillo who he raised as his own. Coming from a big family he had many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews along with 12 other siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2024 at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Michael Block officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
