Barbara H. Collins

Barbara Collins, 78, of Winamac, passed away January 6, 2025. She was born to the late Louis and Rosaleen (Kelly) Hamilton on September 25, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan. 

Barbara attended Michigan State University and received a degree from Valparaiso University. 

She married Dennis G. Collins on July 14, 1979. They resided in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico from 1981-2009 where they attended the Union Church. Barbara attended the First United Methodist Church of Winamac. She proudly supported the Democratic Party, enjoyed volunteering and charity work, and participated in the International Friendship Club. 

Barbara is survived by her husband Dennis G. Collins; her son Glenn Collins of Loudonville, Ohio; brother Michael Hamilton of Lansing, MI.; and sister-in-law Martha Collins of Hobart. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Rosaleen (Kelly) Hamilton. 

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. EST at the First United Methodist Church of Winamac on Saturday, January 11, 2025. 

Graveside service will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. EST at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart, Indiana.
