Barbara Jo Henry

Barbara Jo (Pugsley) Pugs Henry, 79, of Logansport passed away peacefully in her sleep and went to be with her Lord at 3:15 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Born on October 3, 1938 in LaPorte, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Madeline Pugsley. She was raised by her 2 loving sisters and their husbands, Shirley and Herb Rice and Betty and Paul Crume. There were also 2 special people in her life that were like parents to her, Betty and George Anderson.

Barbara had a calling for taking care of others. She started young as a candy striper then on as an aide at St. Joseph Hospital, Memorial Hospital and the Logansport State Hospital. She also did in home care for the elderly.

She was a member of Miami Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir.

Barbara loved music, dancing, planting her flowers and working outside in the yard. She loved her family fiercely and was rarely seen without a camera taking many pictures and making memories. Barbara will be immensely missed by her family and friends. She was a great inspiration to all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie Henry of Logansport, daughter, Phyllis Nolte of Logansport, sons, Phillip Nolte, Jr. of Mishawaka and Matthew Nolte (Angie) of Monticello, step son, Kelly Henry (Christie) of New Waverly and step daughters, Rachael Shively (Tim) of Logansport and Becky Henry of Galveston. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Miami Baptist Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Carol Weaver will officiate.
