Berla Ralph, 78 of Star City, passed away at 3:30 a.m., Monday, January 24, 2011 at Monticello Assisted Living & Healthcare in Monticello.
Born April 26, 1932 in Coleman County, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Rouse) Carlisle. On September 26, 1974 she married Eugene Ralph, he survives.
Berla worked as a waitress for over 50 years beginning at Mama PuntilloA�A�?A�?A�s in Highland and later working at the Indian Head Restaurant, V.F.W. and the Bowling Alley all in Winamac and most recently at Oak Grove Restaurant in Star City. She was a member of Star City United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed bowling, traveling, gardening, canning and most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Ralph of Star City, sons, David McLeroy & wife, Barb of Poland, Ohio, Joseph A�A�?A�A...?JDA�A�?A�i�� McLeroy & wife, Connie of Hanna, Indiana and Robert Dooley & wife, Pam of Marengo, Illinois, daughters, Jackie Dimos & husband, Rory of Hobart, Laura Dooley & husband, Jim of Star City, Bonnie Drabek of Aurora, Illinois and Jackie Moore of Miller Beach, Indiana. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, David, Cindy, Joe, Sarah, Emily, Michelle, John, Kelly, Erica, Chris, Rachel and Faith. She was also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Star City United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 27 at the church with one hour of calling prior to the service. Pastor Ron Mabry will officiate.
Burial will be at Star City West Cemetery.
