Betty L. Hickle, 87 of Kewanna passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.
Born on September 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nellie Knicker.
She was a 1950 graduate of Kewanna High School and on her senior trip she met the love of her life, Harold and they were married on December 24, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2000.
Betty retired from General Tire in 1976 and then worked part time for Area 5 in Rochester.
She was a former member of Kewanna United Methodist Church and was a member of the Kewanna Saddle Club for many years and had a love for horses. She enjoyed fishing, reading, card games, cooking and having large family gatherings for the holidays.
Survivors include her children, Susan Rouch (Steve) of Kewanna, James Hickle (Barb) of Winamac, Kathleen Patty (Dave) of Logansport, daughter-in-law, Ramona Hickle of Evansville, brother, Robert “Butch” Knicker (Kathy), grandchildren, Leslie Rouch (Mike) of Avon, Chad Lowry (Stacy) of Bloomfield, Robyn Conrad (Jon) of Rochester, Jarrod Hickle (Carrie) of Kewanna, Carrie Fairchild (Ryan) of Medaryville, Wesley Hickle of Kewanna, Maggie Wampler (Jason) of Knox, Seth Hickle (Shantel) of Whitestown, David Patty (Jodie) of Monticello, Jerrod Patty of Logansport and Kyle Rans (Stacy) of Logansport, great grandchildren, Devin, Wyatt, Cadence, Gracie, Gage, Elizabeth, Ethan, Owen, Alivia, Hudson, Harrison, Gavin, Grant, Garrison, Brooklyn, Breanna, Ashley, Kylie, Ashley, Collin, Cole, Drew, Eli and Micah and great, great grandchildren, Cecilia, Carter and Penelope. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Harper.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Hickle, brother, Donald Knicker and grandchild, Emaline Wampler.
A private family service will be held and will be live streamed at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory Facebook page.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, Kewanna.
Burial will be at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
Memorial contributions in memory of Betty can be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
