Betty Jean (Crow) Knebel of Jackson, Michigan, loved Jesus, more than anything in this world and she went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
She was born to Wayne Riley and Helen Marguerite Crow in Pomona, California on September 25, 1945. Betty was raised in Indiana with her family. She was married to Lyle Lee Knebel on July 19, 1964. Lyle and Betty had two children, Lorina Rene (Knebel) Baker and Scott Evan Knebel and they survive.
Betty and her husband pastored churches in Illinois, Brookfield, Missouri, Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. Betty lived in Colorado Springs for 14 years where she served as a legal secretary. Betty is the grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren with an additional one on the way. Betty moved to Jackson, Michigan with her daughter when she retired.
She was a member of the East Jackson Church of the Nazarene, where she served as Mission Director and in the Children’s Ministry.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Emilee Dawn Knebel.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2018 at Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson, Michigan with Rev. Gerry Greuling officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Hampton Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Victor Chapel, Star City officiated by her son, Pastor Scott E. Knebel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Jackson Church of the Nazarene.
Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel is assisting the family with local arrangements.
