Bonnie Beth (Brown) Drane

Bonnie Beth Drane, 85 of the Indiana Veterans Home, Lafayette formerly of Nineveh, passed away at 3:29 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Born April 23, 1926 in Neelyville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Rupert and Laura (Woolard) Brown. On February 15, 1947, she married Walter W. Drane and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2009. Bonnie was a retired Franklin College switchboard operator and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Philadelphia Church of God. Bonnie had a great sense of humor. She loved music and enjoyed playing all kinds of games. Survivors include her son, Rev. Walter 'Kevin' Drane and his wife Marlene of Royal Center, daughter, Brenda Collins of Nineveh, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Hilda Lynn, Geneva Ossonski and Opal DeCilis and brothers, William Brown and Aaron Brown. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Indiana Veterans Home Chapel, 3851 N. River Rd. in West Lafayette with Chaplain David Hess officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 304 S. Chicago St. in Royal Center and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Veteran Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery in Lafayette.
