Bonnie L. (Jerles) Smith

Bonnie (Jerles) Smith, 81 of Kewanna passed away peacefully at 7:45 a.m., Saturday, March 03, 2018 at Pulaski Healthcare Center in Winamac.

Born on August 7, 1936 in Concord, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Bernadine (Wymer) Jerles.

On August 27, 1968 she married Kenneth D. Smith.  He preceded her in death on April 8, 1996.

Bonnie retired from Kewanna Metal Specialties.  She enjoyed gardening, garage sales, word puzzles and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Beverly Baldwin (Larry) of Kewanna, Ron Browning (Georgia) of Star City, Bob Browning of Plymouth, Mary Shipman (Steve) of Onward, step daughters, Kathy Thompson (Dan) of Plymouth and Kim Hoover of Star City and brothers, Don, Robert and Edward Jerles all of Ohio She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by step son, Kevin Smith, step son in lawTom Hoover, sisters, Eileen (Jerles) Barr and Rosalee (Jerles) Rankin.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel.  Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon to until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at Bruce Lake Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made the Kewanna United Methodist Roof Fund.  Bonnie always graciously supported KUMC.
