Carol J. Wall, 78, of Logansport passed away at 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on November 22, 1934 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Harold "Wilmer" and Hazel (Malott) Turnpaugh.

She was a member of Cross Wind United Methodist Church and a member of the Triple S group at the church. She enjoyed her church family and friends. Carol graduated from Logansport High School in 1952 and attended Purdue University.

She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #60 and the V.F.W. Ladies Aux. Carol formerly was employed at Bol-Lan Construction for 13 years and she had been a bartender at the American Legion for 15 years. Currently she worked part time at D&J Liquors.

She spent her time reading, enjoying her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Carol also enjoyed sewing and crafts. The Colts, Pacers and Purdue Boilermakers were her favorite teams and she could be found watching these events and rallying behind her favorites. She loved working at her job, talking with customers and friends.

Survivors include her companion, Ed Costello of Logansport, her children; Karin Hollenback and husband Dale of Wabash, and Christopher "James" Gwin of Logansport, grandchildren, Trevor Landrum, Brianna Landrum, Gabe Petersen, Tracy Gwin, Michael Gwin and Daniel Murray. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by husband, Merle "Dean" Wall, one daughter, Karla Murray and one brother, William Laymon.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Cross Wind United Methodist Church with Pastor George Plasterer officiating.
