Chad D. LaPlante

Chad D. LaPlante, 40, of Indianapolis formerly of Logansport passed away at 12:45 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at I.U. Methodist Hospital from complications from a gunshot received on January 9, 2018 in Indianapolis.

Born on February 16, 1977 in Logansport, he was the son and Julie LaPlante and Kevin Collins.

Chad owned and operated Tree of Life Tree Service for several years and he enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.

Survivors include his mother, Julie LaPlante of Ft. Myers, Florida, father, Kevin Collins of Logansport, his children, Alexandria LaPlante, Destiny LaPlante, Anastasia LaPlante and Isiah LaPlante all of Florida, brother, Shawn LaPlante (Amanda) of West Lafayette, uncles, Doug LaPlante of Florida, Clayton LaPlante (Tracy) of Kokomo and aunt, Ruth LaPlante of Florida.  He is also survived by 7 step children in West Virginia, 3 nephew and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles and Mary LaPlante and uncle, Craig LaPlante.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
