Services for Charles B. Hook, 90, of Logansport will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 4, 2010 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
He passed away at 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center.
Born on August 8, 1919 in Burnettsville, he was the son of the late Charles and Eva (Felker) Hook. On March 1, 1940 he married Margaret H. Zarse and she preceded him in death on March 3, 1994.
Charles was a 1939 graduate of Idaville High School.
He was a retired farmer and was a former Milk Inspector for Purdue University and had also been employed at Carroll County REMC.
He enjoyed watching Purdue Basketball.
Survivors include daughters, Dorothy J. DeWitt and husband Gail of Logansport, Charlotte J. Swafford and husband Howard of Kewanna and Gwendolyn J. Gore of Logansport, sister, N. Beth McCurly of Columbia City, and brother-in-law, Marion McMullen of Monticello,A�grandchildren, Kenneth Swafford and wife Lori, Diana Hughes, Karen Long and husband Pat, Robin Speed and husband John, Carman Carden and husband Wes, Dale DeWitt and wife Maria, Jill Mersch and husband Jeremy, Bradley Hook, Kimberly Wilson, Christopher Gore and Kreigh Hook, 25 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by sons, Alan Gregory and Charles Phillip Hook and brothers, Keith and Melvin Hook.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel.
Burial will be at Davis Cemetery.
