Charles Anthony Riolo, 83, of Logansport went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2016, in his home, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born April 23, 1933 in Logansport, IN to Anthony and Fillippa (Gagliano) Riolo. He graduated in 1951 from Logansport High School. Chuck served his country in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957 during the Korean War, stationed in France.
He attended Purdue University where he met his wife, Marie Verlyn (Boo) Moody. They married in Las Vegas, NV on December 17, 1962.
He was a member of the Logansport American Legion Post #60, the Chateauroux, France American Legion Post #1 and the Teamsters Union.
Chuck retired from trucking after 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially attending his grandchildren’s sporting and other events. He was known and loved for his quick wit, impromptu songs and fun personality. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Marie of Logansport; daughters, Phyllis Metler (Robert) of Tulsa, OK. and Marie Roach (Bryan) of Indianapolis; sister, Sara Ann Canales of Logansport; 6 grandchildren, Ashley and Robert Metler and Shelby Metler Evans (Kaleb) and Bryan, Madalyn and Macey Roach. He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Gagliano Bohm.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24th at 11 a.m. at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Burial with Military Rites will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
