Christopher D. Blanchard

Christopher David Blanchard, 44, of Kewanna, went to be with God at 11:12 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Life Care Center in Rochester after a 2 year illness.
Chris was born on April 23, 1970 in Rochester to Jerry and Lana (Winegardner) Blanchard. He married his best friend, Ange Eastwood on September 22, 1995.
He was a Rochester High School graduate and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Chris’ first passion was his family. He also loved anything that had to do with cars, racing, the Oklahoma Sooners, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Dallas Cowboys. His pride and joy was his 1992 Ford Mustang and he loved playing disc golf in his spare time.
He was a member of Church of the Heartland in Winamac.
Survivors include his wife, Ange Blanchard, of Kewanna, sons, Gage of Carmel and Cameron of Kewanna, his mother, Lana Blanchard of Rochester, brother, Scott Blanchard of Austin, Texas, sister, Lauri Mack of Macy, father and mother-in-law, Ken and Mae Eastwood, sister-in-law, Trina Doty and brothers-in-law, Nick Eastwood and Keith Crissinger, all of Kewanna. Also left to cherish Chris’ memory are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Blanchard, paternal grandparents, Fred and Pauline Blanchard, maternal grandparents, Boots and Clara Mae Winegardner, niece, Megan Blanchard, sister-in-law, Stephanie Crissinger and brother-in-law, Brian Doty.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Pastor Jim Howard officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 24 at the funeral home and also one hour before the time of service on Thursday.
Burial with military rites will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.
