Bruce Colley, 65, passed away peacefully at 1:00 p.m., Thursday April 16, 2009 at his residence in Lake Bruce, Indiana.
He was born in Chicago, on September 8, 1943 and was the son of the late Boyd & Mary Alice (Ferry) Colley. On October 18, 1980 he married Renee C. Verboon, she survives.
Survivors include his wife Renee C. Colley, of Lake Bruce, sons David Colley of West Dundee, IL and Eric (Julie) Colley and grand children Nathan and Meghan Colley all of Bartlett, IL. Sisters, Glenetta Cosby of Chicago, Debbie (John) Zupancic of Crown Point, IN, brother Wade (Betty) Colley of Grant Park, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
Bruce retired from Arrow Plastic Manufacturing in Elk Grove Village, IL after 25 years of service.
He was a Champion Marksman during his years in the U.S. Army and he enjoyed cooking.
Cremation is being handled by Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna, Indiana.
A Celebration of Bruce&8217;s Life will begin at 1:00 p.m., May 2, 2009 at Retro Bistro Restaurant, 1746 W. Golf Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL. 60056
A Celebration of his Life will also be held at a later date for his lake family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bruce Colley may be given to Hope Hospice, 420 Main Street, P.O. Box 621, Rochester, Indiana 46975
