Coral J. Schroder

Coral J. Schroder, 92, of Royal Center passed away at 6:33 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born on December 30, 1922 in Hollenberg, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Alta (Townsend) Lichtenberger.  On June 2, 1956 she married James J. Schroder.  He preceded her in death on November 26, 1993.

Coral was retired from Grissom Air Force Base where she served as the Executive Secretary for the Base Commander for 27 years.

She was a member of the Royal Center United Methodist Church and the Boone Twp. Extension Homemakers.  Coral enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Benjamin J. Schroder of Royal Center, brothers, Rex Lichtenberger (Bert) and Ralph Lichtenberger (Joann) all of Nebraska.  Coral is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Royal Center United Methodist Church with Pastor Adrian Curtis officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
