Cortney M. Starr

Cortney M. Starr, 29, of Winamac passed away peacefully at 7:15 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 29, 1990 in Winamac, she was the daughter of Darren and Crystal (Kellems) Starr.

Cortney attended Winamac High School.  She was formerly employed at Family Dollar and Dairy Queen in Winamac.  Cortney loved spending time with her children.

Survivors include her son, Preston Thomas of Winamac, daughter, Harlee Thomas of Winamac, father, Darren Starr (Myra) of Winamac, sister, Amber Neeley (Billy) of Medaryville, grandfather, William Starr of Florida, step brother, Cody Cobb (Abby) of Brookston and step sisters, Micah Henderson (Jeff) of Alabama and Taylor Arbuckle of Winamac.  She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death her mother, Crystal Starr, brother, Brandon Starr, and grandparents, Darlene Starr and William and Tessie Kellems.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory in Royal Center with Pastor Ed Clark officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will be at Franklin Township Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
