Daniel E. Remley, 91, of Logansport formerly of Lucerne and Royal Center passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Chase Center.
Born on January 9, 1924 in Lucerne, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mildred (Winn) Remley.
Dan was a Lucerne High School High School graduate. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII as a runner on the front lines delivering messages between the camps. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
On December 14, 1957 he married Lois B. Graffis.
Dan was a loving husband and father who enjoyed farming and driving the school bus for both Lucerne and Pioneer Schools. He also worked several years for the Cass County Highway Department and helped at Pond View Golf Course. His favorite activities included golf, bowling and raising animals, especially race horses.
Dan was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Lucerne.
Survivors include his wife, Lois B. (Graffis) Remley of Logansport, daughters, Tracey B. Remley of Logansport and Kelley L. Knepper (Bruce) of Lafayette, sister, Betty Wilson of Logansport, and brother, Charles Remley (Marlene) of Walton and grandson, Kyle Knepper of Lafayette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Frances Zagajewski.
A private graveside service will be held at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church.
Arrangement have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.
