Danny L. Chew Sr

Danny L. Chew Sr., 63 of Rochester passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Friday, December 6, 2013 at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester surrounded by his family.

Born November 30, 1950 in South Bend, he was the son of the late Wiley and Sylvia (Whitesell) Chew. On October 31, 1970, he married Virginia "Sue" Morrison, she survives.

He was a graduate of Lakeville High School.

Danny was employed at Rochester Metal Products in Rochester. He enjoyed camping, fishing and watching football. He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. He especially enjoyed camping at the annual Chew Reunions each summer and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Chew of Rochester, son, Danny L. Chew Jr. (Mary) of Kewanna, daughters, Dianna Kratzchmar (Robert) and Lisa Castleman (Kurt) both of Rochester, brother, Loren Chew (Linda)of Walkerton, grandchildren, Jeanann Hewitt-Dean, Darin Chew, Brisin Kratzchmar, Cearra, Seth, Emily and Brayden Castleman and Alyssa, Josh and Aaron Chew. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Wiley "Doc" Chew on June 8, 1985 and his mother, Sylvia Chew on January 6, 2013.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Pastor Todd Wilson officiating.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the funeral home and one hour before the time of service on Wednesday.

Burial will be at Grovertown Cemetery in Grovertown.
