Services for Danny Lee Oberlander, 57, of Monticello, will be held at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel, Friday, April 20, 2007 at 10.30 a.m.
He died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at his residence. Born September 3, 1949 in Lafayette, Indiana, he was the son of Francis R. and the late Patricia M. (Wiest) Oberlander.
Mr. Oberlander was a Barber and also a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga.
He was a 1969 Graduate from Twin Lakes High School. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, fishing and playing pool.
Surviving are 1 Daughter, Susan N. Oberlander of Logansport, Indiana, 1 Son Troy R. Oberlander (Robyn) of Lucerne, Indiana, Father, Francis R. Oberlander (Step Mother Janet), Sister, Vickie L. Oberlander, Step Sister Jeanette Baldini (Chris), all of Monticello, Indiana and Step Brother Richard Wilken of Yeoman, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia M. (Wiest) Oberlander. Pastor Aaron Gross will officate at the services. Graveside Services and Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana with Full Military Rites.
