Dave Hardiman

Dave Hardiman, 67 of Kewanna formerly of Cedar Lake passed away at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

Born on June 26, 1942 in Hartselle, Alabama he was the son of the late Henry D. and Ola M. (Wright) Hardiman. On February 12, 1999 he married Melva Holley, she survives.

Dave retired after 30 years from Ford Motor Company in Illinois before moving to Kewanna. His hobbies were fishing, bowling and playing pool.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Cedar Lake, Indiana and he was a former member of VFW Post 1121 of Kewanna. He was also a U.S.Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Melva Hardiman of Kewanna, one daughter, Carolyn Thill of Illinois, brothers, Arthur Hardiman and wife Faye of Lowell, Leamon Hardiman and wife Martha of Alabama, Billy Wayne Hardiman of Alabama and Donnie Haynes of Mississippi, sisters, Marie Moore and husband Maurice and Rita Ann Hardiman and companion Norman Clark, all of Alabama, grandchild, Dakota Thill of Illinois and many nieces and nephews.. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Amber Sue.

Dave was also preceded in death by brothers, Orvil, Oscar, David, and William Hardiman and Tommy Haynes.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Baptist Church on the Main, Corner of Main & Railroad Streets, Kewanna.
