DAVID MICHAEL LONER
Lafayette, IN - David’s birthday was December 7, 2020 and he would have been 52 years old. He passed away the week before of natural causes at his home in Lafayette, In.
David graduated from St. Lawrence grade school in 1983 where he played 5-6 and 7-8 grade football. He also ran track and wrestled. David was an avid sport fan along with his dad, loving the Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts. His passion was fishing at the family cottage in Buffalo, IN.where he caught many a cat fish.
David graduated from Chatard high School in 1987, where he played football for four years and ran track and wrestled. He entered the Navy in 1988. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Lee Loner – Lady Lake, Florida and his three sons. Cody Allen Spitler (his daughter Adelynn), Dreyk Howell, and Joseph M. Loner – US Navy. His sister, Stacey Lee Loner – Chinle, Arizona - Navaho reservation, niece Jerra Lee Kelly and nephews Joshua Loner and Jacob Dobson. Also, brother, Falk Weishaupt - Germany, a former foreign exchange student who lived with Dave and his family for a year. Many loving Aunts and Uncles and many cousins!
David never met a dog, cat, bird, squirrel, chipmunk or any other animal that he didn’t successfully befriend immediately. He loved music, played the drums and sang with many groups.
David was preceded in death by his loving father, J. David Loner.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport.
