Services for Deane J.A� Peterson, 83 of Lake Bruce, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.
He passed away at 5:15 a.m., Friday, December 26, 2008 at his residence.
Born October 8, 1925 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Justice J. and Ruth (Bitterling) Peterson. On June 30, 1948 he married Anajean Young, she survives.
Deane was a 1944 Monterey High School graduate and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also an avid deer hunter.
He retired in 1989 from General Transfer Company in Rochester.A�
Survivors include his wife, Anajean Peterson, Lake Bruce, Sons, Don L. Peterson and his wife, Jovy, Kewanna and Dwight R. Peterson and his wife, Venita, Winamac, daughter, Vivian A. Peterson, Kewanna,A�9 grandchildren, Daniel J. Peterson, JamesA� Peterson, Rendall Lawson, Joshua Lawson, Kori Peterson, Blayne Peterson, Jenny Peterson, Joemer Peterson and JeeAnne Peterson, and 1 Great Grandchild, Quintin Peterson.
Deane was also preceded in death byA�2 brothers, Verl Peterson and Wayne PetersonA�andA�2 sisters, Fern Mitchell and Eileen AdamsA�
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2008 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 123 E. Main St.,Kewanna and also 1 hour prior to the time of service on Tuesday.
Burial with Military Rites will be conducted at Moon Cemetery, KewannaA� andA� Rev. Steven McPeek will officiate.
