Deitra J. (Swisher) Spencer
December 12, 1946 — November 18, 2016
Deitra J. Spencer, 69, of Royal Center passed away at 9:33 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 at I.U. University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on December 12, 1946 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Huffman) Swisher.
Dee was a Pioneer High School graduate.
On February 13, 1965 she married Terry E. Spencer. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2010.
She was employed at Federal Mogul in Logansport for over 30 years. Dee enjoyed taking care of her flowers, walking her dog and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Candice J. Spencer-Rogers of Carmel and Anthony J. Spencer of Royal Center, sister’s, Deb Pittman of Florida and Diane Zeider of Logansport, grandchildren, Stephanie Miller (Brandon), Alexis Rogers, Ethan Spencer, Jacob Spencer and great grandson, Kingston Miller, brother and sister in law, Jerry and Susie Spencer of Logansport, sister’s in law, Elaine Swisher of Lucerne and Nancy Spencer of Logansport.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, John and Joseph Swisher and brother in law, Gary Spencer.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Richard Utterback will officiate.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
