Derek Christopher Oldham, 32, of Logansport passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 29, 2024 in Logansport.
Born on July 1, 1992 in Logansport, he was the son of Christopher and Conni (Patty) Oldham.
He was a 2011 graduate of Pioneer Jr.-Sr. High School. Derek received his degree in diesel technology from UNOH after graduating high school. Not long after that, he joined the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 157, and became a journeyman in 2019.
On August 20, 2022 he married Christina D. Aguilera, and gained an amazing daughter, Evie Thompson.
On December 6th 2021, they welcomed their second daughter Laynie Oldham.
Derek enjoyed many things in life. He spent a lot of his time working on cars and projects around his home and hobby farm, deer hunting every fall with his father, and spending time with his friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and being the best husband to his wife and father to his two daughters.
Surviving are his wife, Christina Oldham of Logansport, children, Evie Thompson and Laynie Oldham of Logansport, parents, Christopher and Conni Oldham of Royal Center, sister, Haley Strasser (Joe) and his niece and nephew Scarlett and Jaxon Strasser, of Monticello, grandparents, Dean and Louise Patty of Royal Center, mother-in-law, Rosalba Aguilera of Converse, sister-in-law, Ellie Aguilera of Converse, and brother-in-law, Gilbert Aguilera Jr of Converse. As well as his aunts and uncles Cindy Oldham, Doug Oldham, Kim Osbon (Mark Herrold), Matt Patty (Kris), Mike Patty (Kayla), Nan Albright (Jerry), and Corey Patty (Brenda) and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Kenneth and Carol Oldham, Uncle Greg Oldham and father-in-law, Gilbert Aguilera.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, Royal Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Davis Cemetery following the service.
