Dina K. Pasley, 52, of Twelve Mile passed away surrounded by the comfort of family in the late evening of November 8. She was born in Winamac on September 4, 1972.
Those who best knew and loved Dina would describe her as strong-willed, fiery, and one who would not go down without a fight. It’s only fitting that these personality traits were also the very things that carried her through a health battle that for many would be too much to endure.
Day after day, Dina was a fighter. While family might joke that was her stubbornness shining through - it was determination. She was determined to never give up on herself…never give up on her family. And in the end, her determination to control her own fate allowed her to part this world in the comfort of home, surrounded by the love of friends and family, with peace in her heart and mind.
Although her time here with us was unfairly short, it was well spent. Dina took on various roles for work and enjoyed perfecting her craft. She made friends wherever she’d go and shared many fun workplace memories through the years. If you were ever looking for Dina on the weekend, just listen for who is calling “BINGO!” Dina loved spending time with her family. She would often share her thankfulness for her mom and sisters, and knew she could count on them for anything. Dina loved the title “Grandma” and more specifically, the “Fun Grandma” who buys the big monster trucks to ride around in. She loved her friends, having fun, a good bet, and living life HER way!
Dina is preceded in death by her father Wesley Rinehart; grandparents Wilfred and Loise Davis; grandfather Don Rinehart; and step-grandfather Marvin Williams. The beauty in loss is the family that is left behind, for they get to carry on the memory of Dina. Gone, but also never forgotten. She is survived by her two sons: Caleb (Halie) Pedersen and grandsons Kobi Lee and Jaisyn Petersen. Nathan (Kendall) Gundrum and grandsons Harrison and Samuel. Sisters: Kandi (Paul) Gunn and Lindsey Williams. Mother and Step-Father: Nancy and Gene Eastham. Step-grandmother: Dorothy Williams. Step-Sisters: Wendy (Kenny) Wallace and Fallon Snowden. And many nieces, nephews, and other family members she cared for deeply including her cat Fuzzball.
“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and loved more than you know.” Dina was always brave, the strongest fighter until the end, and loved by us all.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Church of the Nazarene in Logansport on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Dina's online guestbook is available and condolences can be shared with the family at www.RansFuneralHomes.com.
