Dolores Irene Musselman

Dolores Irene Musselman, 85, of Logansport, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on July 8, 1928 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Wichmann) Beattie.

Dolores was the owner/operator of Little Jack's Grocery and Director of Cass County's United Way Helpline. She volunteered with and served on many of Cass County's non-profit organizations, which included the local Boy Scout and Girl Scout councils for over 40 years. She earned the Silver Beaver Award from the Sagamore Council of the Boy Scouts of America and volunteered on many levels for the Tribal Trails Girl Scout Council.

In 1997 she was awarded the Good Neighbor Award. Dolores was presented with a "Key" to Logansport by Mayor John Davis.

Survivors include her children Robert J. Shaw and daughter Hollee Shaw of Logansport; Michael S. Shaw of Logansport and son Justin Shaw of S. Carolina; Ronald A. Shaw of Logansport; Teresa (Ken) Rentschler of Twelve Mile and children Kristi (Bryan) Coppess, of Camby and Shawn Rentschler of Twelve Mile; Mark (Debra) Musselman of Logansport and sons Jared (Laura) Musselman of Arizona and daughters Adidas and Makayla, Chase Musselman of Arizona, and Dylan Musselman of Logansport; Dan Musselman of Logansport. She is also survived by sister Darlene (Steve) Martin of Fulton, half brother Donald Beattie of Peru, and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by sister Sharon Ness; brothers Charles Beattie Jr. and Gerald Beattie; and husbands Bill "Cappy" Shaw and Dean Musselman.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Marocco a�" Rans Funeral Chapel officiated by David Sommers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at St. Ann's Cemetery in Grass Creek.
