Donald W. Langler, 82, of Logansport passed away at 12:40 p.m.,Saturday, November 16, 2013 at residence surrounded by his family.
Born on December 3, 1930 in Muskegon, Michigan, he was the son of the late John and Jennie (Hamm) Langler. On December 15, 1956 he married Shirley Quackenbush. Donald lost Shirley on July 17, 1997 after 40 years of marriage.
Donald enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps at age 17. He served for 22 years in the Air Force before retiring with an Honorable Discharge. After leaving the USAF, Don worked at Rockwell in Logansport from which he also retired.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He liked to joke and tease with those he was close to.
He is survived by daughter, Suzan Cook, son, Kevin Langler and his wife Shelly, longtime companion, Cheryl and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Stephen (Vietnam), 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services will be private.
Don requested no flowers and Memorial Contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
