Donald J. Moore

Donald J. Moore, 89, of Logansport passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at 7:58 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2023 at home.

Born on November 23, 1933 in Logansport, he was the son of the late George and Gladys (English) Moore.

He was a Logansport High School graduate.

On May 22, 1954 he married Josephine “JoJo” Scagnoli.  She preceded him in death on April 23, 2021.

Donald retired from Chrysler. October 1987 he was employee of the month at Chrysler. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Jeopardy .

Survivors include his sons, Donnie Moore (Susan Bowman) of Logansport and Michael Moore of Logansport, granddaughter, Shae Moore (Matt Myers) of Logansport and great grandchildren, Madison Berry, Alex Bell and Alyviah Vernon, brother in law, Frank Scagnoli of Logansport and sister in law, Edith Hildebrant of Logansport.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by son, Gary Moore, granddaughter, Lindsay Moore, brother Richard “Dick” Moore and sister, Phyllis Busch.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

A private family graveside will be at Spring Creek Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to All Saints Catholic Church and/or the American Cancer Society.
