Services for Donald Wayne Rinehart, 84, of Logansport will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Marocco Funeral Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.
He passed away at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Life Care Center in Rochester.
He was born on September 13, 1924 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Jacob Earl and Mary (Wagoner) Rinehart.
He attended Clymers School and was a 1942 Logansport High School Graduate, he was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the infrantry in the Pacific Theater from January 1945 until receiving an Honorable Discharge in November 1946.
He married Beverly Denbo in May 1948 and she preceded him in death on November 2, 1976.A� He then married Phyllis Huston McVay on March 24, 2001 who survives.
A�Donald was a truck driver who worked for Great Lakes Wholesale Company and Kains Motor Company retiring in 1985. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and he enjoyed baseball and playing cards.
A�Survivors include his wife Phyllis Rinehart of Logansport, granddaughter, Dina Pasley, two great grandsons, Caleb Pederson and Nathan Gundrum all of Logansport, daughter in law, Nancy Eastham of Young America, two brothers, John Rinehart and wife Peggy of Kokomo and Richard ??Dick?i�� Rinehart and wife Polly of Burrows, two sisters, Deloris Mullin of Burrows and Carol Highbaugh Chambers and husband Ronald of Galveston, two step daughters, Donna Benedict and husband William ??Bill?i�� and Barbara Roads and husband Michael all of Logansport, step son, Delton McVay, Jr. and wife Myra of Brownville, 8 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.A� He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by son, Wesley Allen Rinehart, brother, Robert Rinehart and his wife Evelyn, two brothers-in-laws, Larry Highbaugh and Merlin Mullin, niece, Phyllis Gregor, nephew, Joe Mullin and step grandson, Delton ??Leroy?i�� McVay III.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at Marocco Funeral Chapel.
