Earl “Buck” Pruett, 81, of Kewanna formerly of Logansport passed away at 9:25 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his residence.
Born on May 24, 1932 in Briceville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Wiley Jackson and Carrie Vivian (Lamb) Pruett. On September 29, 1951 he married Annie Ruth Judkins, she survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Earl retired from Pennsylvania/Conrail railroad in 1990 after 40 years as an M & W Repairman. He was also formerly employed at Cass County Transit. Earl was a hobby farmer and he enjoyed woodworking.
He was a member of the Church of God in Rochester, 50 year member F & M Tipton Lodge #33, Logansport Shrine Club and a former member the Logansport Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Pruett of Kewanna, son, Jack Pruett of Logansport, daughter, LaDonna Lachance (Christopher) of Kewanna, grandchildren, Scott Imler, Chrystle and Mariah Lachance and 1 great granddaughter, Payton Imler.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, William and Raymond Pruett and sisters, Betsy Cooper and Nella Mae Cloud.
Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna with Rev. Larry Pyeatt officiating. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service where there will be Masonic and Shrine Service at 6:30 p.m.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
