Edward J. Grauel, III

Edward J. Grauel, III, 75 of Lafayette passed away at 11:17 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2024, at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on January 17, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Collins), II.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

On June 19, 1987, he married Lorinda L. Shidler, she survives.

Ed was a lifelong over the road owner operator truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Lorinda Grauel, sisters, Donna Gabriele (Stephen) and Pat Gummel, sisters-in-law, Iris Simonin, Maxine Smith, Trish Dahlenburg (Mark) and Elaine Shidler and brothers-in-law, Oren Shidler, Dennis Shidler (Judy), Fred Shidler (Ann), Frank Shidler (Carla) and Jake (Karen) Shidler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Pauline Shidler, Maria Shidler, Rosemary Shidler and Deloris Morgan, brothers-in-law, Charles Simonin, Thomas “Duke” Shidler, Larry Morgan, Garry Shidler, Robert Smith and Ronald Shidler and mother-in-law, May Shidler.

Per Ed’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
