Edward J. Robinson

Edward “Ed” J. Robinson, 57, of Carmel formerly of Lucerne, Rochester and Walkerton passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on July 2, 1962 in Ambler, Pennsylvania.

Ed was a 1980 Caston High School graduate and a 1984 graduate of Manchester University.  After graduating Ed taught high school English at Caston High School then later at John Glenn High School.

For the past 13 years, Ed and his brothers worked together at R.T. Moore Inc.in Indianapolis.

Ed enjoyed golfing and watching sports. His favorite teams were Notre Dame football and all the Philadelphia sports teams...Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and 76ers, a true Phanatic! Ed and his siblings enjoyed attending many of these sporting events when they were little growing up in Philadelphia. Ed later enjoyed being a beloved Uncle to his nieces and nephew. The favorite part of summer was the family pool parties where everyone got together and enjoyed each other’s company. Ed was a very attentive Uncle and was cherished by his nephew and nieces.

Survivors include his siblings, Dorothy Robinson Smock (Wayne) of Marion, David Robinson (Jill) of Brownsburg and Jim Robinson (Alison) of Carmel, nieces and nephews, Shea Smock of Chicago, Stone Robinson of Brownsburg, Olivia Robinson of Brownsburg, Halle Robinson of Carmel and Kayleigh Robinson of Carmel.  He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins which include the families of Denny and Barb Hayden, Chuck and Sonie Spradling, Kathi and Dave Baxter, Mike Little and Karen Powers, Lori and Steve Beck, and Fred and Nora Peterson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Rearick Robinson and uncle, Tom Rearick.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.

Memories are welcomed to be shared by family and friends at 6:00 p.m.

Ed will be laid to rest along-side his mother Judy at a private service at Masonic Cemetery in Pittsburg, IN.
