Elizabeth “Beth” Weller, 99 of Lebanon, Ohio formerly of Kewanna passed away peacefully at 3:06 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Optimized Senior Living and Memory Care in Lebanon, Ohio.
Born on December 27, 1925 in Kewanna, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lelia (Leasure) Tomlinson.
She was a 1943 graduate and valedictorian of Kewanna High School.
On September 4, 1948 she married Donald C. Reason and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1957. She later married Raymond E. Weller on July 16, 1977 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2011.
Beth started work at The Farmers and Merchants Bank in Kewanna before graduating high school and worked there for 48 years until her retirement in 1991.
She was a lifelong member of Kewanna United Methodist Church. She served 50 years as treasurer of the United Methodist Women’s Group and served in many other positions at the church over the years. Beth loved serving her community and was an instrumental member of the Kewanna United Methodist Food Pantry. She was also a member of Mother’s Club and Order of Eastern Star. Beth was thoughtful and generous throughout her life and was always volunteering and helping anyone in need. She enjoyed singing church hymns within her congregation, waving at and visiting with friends and neighbors. Beth also enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels at their feeder from her well worn spot on the front porch. She loved handing out candy at Halloween and always had an exact count on how many Trick-or-Treaters visited her each year.
Survivors include her daughters, Beth Ann Deckard and Linda Tufts (Steve) all of Lebanon, Ohio, son, Don Reason (Chantal) of LaCiotat, France, stepdaughters, Randy Neidig of Bourbon and Cora Lynn Weller (Dan Bruce) of Kewanna, stepson, Don Weller of Florida, grandchildren, Kirsten (Rob), Don (Vilo), Leah (Naffie), Michael, Lauren (Seth), Chad (Deb), Megan (Ken), Brent, Donnie (Nadine), Doug (Kara), Kim (Mitchell) and great grandchildren, Kate, Judd, Dean, Madison, Mackenzie, Shelby (Tanner), Kylar, Tyler (Kylee), Cody, Owen, Ethan, Brendon, Riley and Katelyn and great great grandchildren, Kennedy and Tucker.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Lois Kumler (Dean), Mildred McColley (Herman) and Ruth Ann Anderson (Art), an infant brother, daughter, Carol Diane, step son, Rick Weller and granddaughter, Missy Weller.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Kewanna United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Union Township Park and/or the Kewanna Community Food Pantry.
