Services for Elvyon (Jackson) Downs, 66, of Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Marocco Funeral Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.
Elvyon died at 2:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at her residence.
Born April 2, 1941 in Putnam County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Euralean (Whitehead) Jackson.
Elvyon retired from Chase Center in 1991 and she enjoyed crafts and inside gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Dale D. Downs of Logansport, 2 sons Orville J. Merrill, Jr. (Companion Mary Howell) and Ed W. Merrill (Sandy) both of Logansport, 6 sisters, Sally Phillips of Tennessee, Helen L. Leazenby of Logansport, Reba Shoemake of Tennessee, Millie Allen (Mike) of Logansport, Joyce Dossie" Bogle (Dan) of Tennessee and Frannie Craigmile of Georgia 1 brother Paul Jackson of Tennessee 3 Grandchildren Kayla Matt and Anthony Merrill and 4 Great Grandchildren Makayla Kadyn and Ryleigh Merrill and Lucas Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers Jack Rittenberry Carlos Jackson and John Rittenberry.
Mike Bennett will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery Logansport.
