Emma D. Seward, 82 of Royal Center, passed away at 12:38 a.m., January 18, 2011 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born December 6, 1928 in Albany, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late James and Amie (Cooksey) Wood. On October 23, 1949, she married Billy E. Seward and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2000.
She was a homemaker who attended Royal Center United Methodist Church.
Emma was Past Worthy Matron of the Royal Center Order of Eastern Star 375, a member of the Indiana Rural Letter Carriers Ladies Association where she was past State Auxiliary Officer and a she was also a member of the Ladies of the Shrine Needee Guild.
Survivors include her daughters, Myra J. Ropp and husband, Jerry of Fortville; Katrina S. McKim and husband, Steven of Royal Center; Bobetta J. King of Royal Center; sister, Euthie Mumuagh and husband, Johnny of Greentown; 10 grandchildren Scott Shidler and wife, Barbara; Kerri Thomas and husband, Joe; Tom Day and wife, Dawn; Misty Ripley and husband, Keith; Travis McKim and wife, Carolyn; Loretta Kowalczyk; Billie Jo Seward Reidenbach; Jason Seward and wife, Tasha; Heather Spencer and husband, Tony; and David A�A�?A�A...?MattA�A�?A�i�� Gray. Also surviving are 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by two brothers, J. Waldo Wood and Lyman Wood, sister, Bercie Martin and one great grandson, Jaccoby Day.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Kevin Drane officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the funeral home where there will be an OES service at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be at Royal Center Cemetery.
