Ernest Frank Rose, 75, of Logansport formerly of Delphi passed away at 2:12 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born on June 15, 1936, in Davy, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Stella (Davis) Rose. On May 11, 1991 he married Janita L. Spencer, she survives.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a former member of American Legion #60.
Ernest retired from Globe Valve Company in Delphi August 14, 1998 after 29 years. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps and he loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife Janita Rose of Logansport, sons; Ernest Roberts (Jenny) of Connersville, Kenneth Spencer of West Lafayette and Frank Fourroux of Poplarville, Mississippi, daughters; Stella Moore (Joseph) of Rockfield, Theresa Rose of Frankfort, Barbara Johnson of Savannah, Georgia, and Angela Funkhouser (Jim) of Old Hickory, Tennessee, brother Woody Rose of Old Hickory, North Carolina, and sister; Claudia Hagerman of Bartley, West Virginia. Ernest is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Virginia Hager.
Graveside Services with military rites will be performed at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward.
