Evelyn Josephine (Petrie) Dietze

Evelyn Josephine (Petrie) Dietze, 95, of Logansport passed away at 3:40 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Allisonville Meadows Healthcare Center in Fishers.

Born on March 31, 1925 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Anna (Kuntz) Petrie.

Evelyn attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School and graduated from Logansport High School.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello.

On October 16, 1971 she married Herman R. Dietze.  He preceded her in death on August 20, 2012.

She was a retired secretary and administrative assistant.

Survivors include her 10 grandchildren:  Michelle, Chris, Rick, Jeff, Carol, Patricia, Chris, Scott, Beth, and Brad.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Marocco and her husband, Floyd, Florence Tobias and her husband, Mark, Henrietta Laing and her husband, Charles and Ann Petrie, brother, John F. Petrie and his wife, Helen and step children Michael Karlen, Patty Long, and Victor and Joyce Willy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM in All Saints Catholic Church on November 11, 2020.

Visitation will be from 5PM to 7PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, Logansport where there will also be a Scripture Service at 6:30PM.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Logansport.
