Farres K. Roark, 81, of Logansport, passed away at 4:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at his residence.
Born on July 17, 1935 in Tazwell, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry and Artie (Daniels) Roark.
In 1969, Farres married Hazel Zane (Daniel) Roark who survives in Pineville, Kentucky.
He was an avid runner, he enjoyed playing the banjo, and was the Lafayette City Horseshoe Champion.
Survivors include daughter, Kimberly (Bill) Denny of Logansport, brothers; Jay (Wilma) Roark of Michigan, and Noah “Oakie” (Sandy) Roark of Michigan, and sister, Rosalee Metcalfe of Frankfort.
He is also survived by grandchildren; William K. Denny, Ryan “Mac” Denny, and David W. Denny.
Farres was preceded in death by son, Carl David Roark, brother, Charlie Roark, sister, Mary Ann Yonkers, and brother-in-law, Don Yonkers.
There will be a memorial service at 5:00 p.m., on Monday April 24, 2017 at his daughter’s home at 206 Coles St. in Logansport.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel.
