Florence C. Denny

Florence C. Denny, 87, of Logansport, passed away at 2:51 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born on April 23, 1927 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ava (Barnard) Mikels.

On September 10, 1960, Florence married Forrest “Ike” Denny who preceded her in death on September 10, 2007.

Florence was employed for many years at TAY-MOR Industries Inc. and Peru Cable Inc.

Florence was a member of Royal Center O.E.S. and she enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children Sandra Pfaff (Bob) of Rochester, Phyllis Drake (Phil) of Brookston, Gaile Collins (Tonya) of North Carolina and Bill Collins (Dee) of Tennessee, step-children, Ron Denny (Kay) of Logansport, Cora Bartell (Kenneth) of Elkhart, Carol Brewer (Keith) of Noblesville and Linda McManus (John) of Logansport, brother, Paul Mikels (Mary) of Lafayette, and sister, Eva Hamilton of West Point, Indiana. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by step son, Rocky Denny, brothers; Harold Mikels, Robert Mikels, Francis Mikels, James Mikels, Raymond Mikels, David Mikels, John Mikels, Donald Mikels, and sister, Ann Crowden.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Elder Cary Carter officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2014 at the funeral home where there will also be and Order of Easter Star service at 6:30 p.m.

Burial will be at Thompson Cemetery in Royal Center.
