Floyd “Ed” Mollencupp Sr., 90, of Lake Bruce passed away peacefully at 7:23 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his residence.

Born January 7, 1926 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Charles and Ada Mollencupp (Cook).

Ed was a 1944 graduate of Kewanna High School.

He was a U.S.  Army  veteran serving in WWII and a recipient of the Bronze Star.

On October 16, 1953, he married Alvena J. O’Blenis. She preceded in death one year earlier to the day on October 4, 2015.

Ed retired from Winamac Coil Spring where he was the Shipping Clerk for over 25 years.  He was a lifelong member of Kewanna Church of Christ.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, making jewelry, traveling, camping, and most of all spending time with his family.  Often times you would find him helping his wife quilting or baking.

He was a loving father and grandfather devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Survivors include sons, John  (Lorna) Mollencupp  of Kewanna, Ed (Teresa) Mollencupp Jr. of Lake Bruce and William (Cynthia) Mollencupp of Indianapolis, daughter, Vicki Luz of Winamac, sister, Bessie Engle of Kewanna.  Eight grandchildren,  Jennifer (Johnny)  Sult, John (Lauren) Mollencupp Jr.,  Jeremy Mollencupp, Michael Mollencupp, Samantha Mollencupp, Kyle (Megan) Mollencupp, Kayla (Michael ) Hutsell, Megan (Joshua) Warren,  and 5 great grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by son, Phillip Mollencupp and daughter, Debbie Mollencupp.

A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Kewanna Church of Christ with Pastor Aaron McCombs officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A Graveside Service and Military Rites will be performed at Rochester I.O.O.F Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kewanna Church of Christ.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Kewanna Chapel.
