Frances J. Allison, 99, of Royal Center passed away at 8:25 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her residence.
Born on December 1, 1911 in Newman, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Maude (Barnes) Lucas. On July 15, 1929 she married Herbert H. Allison and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1985.
Frances was a seamstress, homemaker and helpmate. In later years she and her husband were supervisors of both the menA�A�?A�?A�s and womenA�A�?A�?A�s residence halls at Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas for several years.
She was a member of the Logansport Church of Christ and she loved her flowers, sewing and being involved with the work of the Lord.
Survivors include her children, Don Allison and wife Barbara of Royal Center and Delores Cartright of Royal Center, brother, William Lucas and wife Ramona of Chattanooga, Tennessee, sister, Ruby Neil of Chrisman, Illinois, grandchildren, Jeff Cartright and wife Pam of Tampa, Jerry Cartright of Las Vegas and John Allison and wife Michelle of Tampa, 4 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters, grandson, David Allison and son in law, Don Cartright.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel with Minister Jeff Strite officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
