Geneva P. Gilsinger, 90, of Royal Center passed away at 4:55 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital.
Born on December 9, 1923 in White County, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Goldie Mae (Roller) Oswalt. On May 27, 1939 she married Joseph E. Gilsinger. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1996.
Geneva was an Attendant in the Children's Unit at the Logansport State Hospital for over 25 years. She enjoyed going to casinos and watching her hummingbirds.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Bostic (Jack) and Carolyn Butler all of Royal Center, brother, Richard Oswalt (Maxine) of Royal Center, sisters, Jean DeWitt and Ruth Sterling (Harold) all of Royal Center, grandchildren, Kim Zepeda, Cynthia Stevens (Kenny), James Zepeda, Samatha Urban (Brad), Robert Williamson (Lesa), Joseph Fickle, Wilson Fickle (Denise) and Robert Fickle (Jennifer). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Fred Oswalt, sisters, Virginia King and Pat Pratt and son in law, Roger Butler.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
