Geneva Leazenby

Services for Geneva Leazenby, 84, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Marocco Funeral Chapel.

She died at 11:42 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born October 27, 1922, she was the daughter of Charles Otis and Edith Lyle (Leffel) Weeks, both who preceded in death.  She was married October 19, 1941, to Junior Lee Sherman, who was killed in action during World War II.  She was married May 13, 1948, to Roy J. Leazenby, who preceded in death on July 5, 2003.

She was an inspector at Hamilton Standard in Logansport, retiring in 1986.

She worked with the Cub Scouts, was past president of Jefferson School P.T.A. and past president of Ladies Auxiliary of Little League Baseball.  She served as past president, secretary and treasurer for bowling leagues.  She was on the board of directors for Logan Womenchr(39)s Bowling Association.  She was inducted into the Loganland USBC Association Hall of Fame.

Surviving are three sons, Cary, husband of Susan Leazenby, Monticello, Rick, husband of Rose Leazenby, Logansport, and Ronald, husband of Angela Leazenby; two daughters, Judy, wife of Tom Cook, Logansport, and Jackie, wife of Ron Stover, Twelve Mile; eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one step-great grandchild and four great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother and two sisters.

Pastor Andy Weil will officiate at the services.  Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral chapel.
