George E. Starbuck

George E. Starbuck, 71, of Twelve Mile passed away at 6:17 pm., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.
Born on February 24, 1939 in Carroll County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Gibson) Starbuck. On October 3, 1993 he married Eloise A. Speed, who survives.
He was a graduate of Rockfield High School.
George was a lifelong carpenter who was a member of the Carpenters Union in Lafayette. He was an avid IU basketball fan, and he enjoyed playing cards at the senior center.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise A. Starbuck of Twelve Mile, daughters, Beth A. Vore and husband Donald of Logansport, Angela K. Flory and husband Eric of Peru and Melissa G. Flory and husband Steven of Goshen, stepchildren, Toni Bernhart and husband Dennis of Georgia, John M. Speed and wife Robin of Elkhart and Carla Speed of Logansport, brothers, Clarence Starbuck and wife Joanne of Clymers, Marion Starbuck and wife Pat of Delphi, James Starbuck of Marion, sisters, Sarah Lane of Flora, Beverly Bartunik of Logansport, Helen Vanlanningham and husband Hazel of Milford, Viola Simons of Logansport, 4 grandchildren, Michael and Mark Vore and Scott and Katelyn Flory, 12 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Evelyn Jervis.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at Marocco Funeral Chapel in Logansport.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor John Newman officiating.
