George Louis “GL” Muehlhausen, II, 66, of Sharon formerly of Logansport passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was born on June 15, 1948 to the late Bud and Mary Margaret Muehlhausen.
He grew up in Washington Township, a mile and a half south of Logansport on the Kokomo Pike. He loved mushroom hunting and wandering in the woods behind the Muehlhausen home with his brothers. He also loved animals and being outdoors.
GL was a loyal friend and hard worker who had a great sense of humor and a big heart.
He was a 1966 Logansport High School graduate.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam in the 1st Air Calvary Division in 1968-1969.
GL was a natural mechanical engineer and worked in spring manufacturing for most of his life. GL could build anything.
Survivors include his 5 children; Kelly Muehlhausen and Christopher Muehlhausen both of Sharon, Indiana, George Lewis Muehlhausen III, of Logansport, Katharine Mundorf (Jason) of Broken Bow, Nebraska, and Eric Muehlhausen of Cummins, Georgia. He is also survived by two brothers; Jim Muehlhausen (Sally) and John Muehlhausen of Logansport and 5 grandchildren; Morgan and Hunter Muehlhausen, Joel, Jackson, and Maggie Mundorf.
Services and Burial are private at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
