Gerti M. Felker

July 20, 1939 — March 28, 2016

Gertraud Maria“Gerti” Felker, 76 of Royal Center passed away peacefully at 8:10 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 20, 1939 in Holzkirchen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Konrad and Karolina (Guggemoose) Pantalitschka.

On May 28, 1965 she married Norman “Clyde” Felker.  He preceded her in death on July 31, 2014.

Gerti retired from the Royal Center Locker Plant after 26 years and she was a homemaker.  Gerti was a member of Caley United Methodist Church where she also served as treasurer for the Caley Fellowship Club. She enjoyed baking, gardening, taking care of her flowers, knitting, sending cards, and most of all spending time with her family.  Gerti was especially proud when she became a United States citizen.

Survivors include her daughter, Gabrielle “Gabi” Chini (Bob) of Valley Center, California, son, Steve “Skinny” Felker (Chandra) of Burnettsville, brother, Konrad Pantalitschka of Holzkirchen, Germany, sister in law, Marie Liming of Lucerne, brother in law, Phillip Gene Felker (Sharon) Fountain Hills, Arizona, grandchildren, Adam Chini (Michelle) of Escondido, California, Jordan Chini of Los Angeles, California, Wyatt, Eli, Jake and Kinsey Felker all of Burnettsville,  and great grandchildren, Alora, Stone and Dillon Simpler and their father, Chris all of North Carolina.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Diana Marie Felker, granddaughter, Alaina Simpler, brother, Antonio Pantalitschka and sister in law, Roswitha Pantalitschka.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Caley United Methodist Church with Pastor Doris Smith officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Caley United Methodist Church and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Burial will be at Pro Cemetery in Headlee.

Memorial contributions may be made to Caley United Methodist Church.
