Harold D. Johnston, Sr., 77, of Star City passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4, 2022 at his home.
Born on October 10, 1944 in Ora, Indiana he was the son of the late Donald and Nancy (Crabb) Johnston.
Harold retired from Winamac Coil Spring in Kewanna. He also formerly worked at Wilson Foods in Logansport and had also farmed.
He was a member of Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center.
Survivors include his sons, Jeff Johnston (Chris) of Portage and Douglas Johnston (Marcia) of Graham, North Carolina, grandchildren, Benjamin Johnston, Sarah Steffaniak, Hannah Zbinden, Avery Johnston and Zoe Johnston, great grandchildren, Micah, Samson, Gabriel, Noelle and Ezra. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Larry Johnston of Texas, Dennis Johnston (Ann) of Kokomo, Terry Johnston (Linda) of Culver, James Johnston (Sandy) of Winamac, Janet Harshman (Tim) of Logansport, Linda Dodson of Rochester, Wanda Miller of Macy and Wilma Cole (Rick) of Plymouth.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Harold D. Johnston, Jr., brother, Garry Johnston, sister, Sandra Gibbons and aunt, Bonnie Farrer.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center with Pastor Joel Sharp officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
Burial will be at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Kewanna.
