Services for Harry Luther Bussert, 87, of Kewanna, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel.
He died at 4:15 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at his residence.
Born September 4, 1920 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Ora and Mary Gertrude (DuBois) Bussert. He was married September 12, 1953, in Kewanna, to Shirley A. Ingram, she survives.
Mr. Bussert had worked for the Pulaski County Highway Department, and had also been a truck driver. He was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II.
Before his health declined, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
Also surviving are two sons, Wade Bussert of Kewanna, and Ryan Bussert and his wife, Sari, of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Betty Newcomer of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister , Virginia Bussert.
Rev. Steven McPeek will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery, Kewanna.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Kewanna Chapel.
